Name the company after yourself. Why? Because someday, when your company is as big as Microsoft, and you die, your legacy will remain emblazoned in the minds of millions of people around the world after your death through the name of your company.Like Westinghouse, for example.

Either that or derive an acronym like SMAT Inc.(Sheet Metal and Acoustical Technology) that will be very easy for the general public and potential customers, suppliers and the like to remember. No longer than 7 letters though. I once took a basic psychology class that explained that 7 pieces of information is the maximum that most people can easily transcribe from short-term to long-term memory. Plus 7 digits is also the length of a phone number(aha!) , and when you set up your customer/ client line 1-800-(XXX-XXXX),
customers, clients and purveyors won't have to go digging for your phone number in order to call you. ( "oh yea, its 1-800-call-SMAT") ,and if you were to advertise on TV,or you have the name and # of your company on the side of a work van, people wouldn't have to go running for pen and paper to write your number down before it leaves the screen, and most people don't have ready access to pen and paper when they are driving in their cars. The 7 bits of information principle will help them to remember the name and number long enough to make it home where they can write it down.

That's what I'd do, anyway. Good luck!
