Ok this might seem a little goofy but...I'm planning to get a pigeon egg(or chick) from a friend to hand raise at some point this year. Although just outta curiousity, ya think I should video tape the egg hatching and post it on youtube.com?

I've got a video camera and youtube.com user account. Other then that, whatcha think?

That would be cool, I'd watch it.

Could be interesting but I doubt people will sit and watch the entire video. Do you know how long it takes for a chick to fully emerge from an egg? It could take as long as 24 hours (or more) from start to finish.

I say film it but submit only the final moments of the hatch.

You do realise that some birds can take up to two days to hatch out of thier egg.
You could use a tripod over a clear lidded hatcher and just keep it running untill the bird hatches. it could be interesting to watch.

Yes but make sure you have a music track which is comparable to the video! P.S. Get a homing pigeon, they always come back!

I'd watch it. Edit out the parts where nothing is happening. There are a lot of those videos on youtube already. Very cool.

Well pigions take alot of time to hatch, so we're talking alot of storage space and memory and batteries. If you could abridge the video for the watchers then it might become popular...

I hope that I answered your ? ok...
