Depending on who gave it to you and your own personal feeings, you keep it, throw it away, give it to someone else, or exchange it. You should definitely thank the person who gave you the gift, though, unless it was from some psycho who is trying to buy your affections. It's th thought that counts, after all, and you should be appreciative.

Take it to one of those stores that takes in unused gifts and trade it for something you like.

its not at all important that you like the gift or not.all gifts should be excepted with a smile and friendly feeling.
