It is not unusual to find someone (usually a man) standing on a street corner preaching 'the word of the Lord' in alot of towns in N Ireland. I'm from Bangor, Co Down and it was a common occurrence most weekends especially round Pickie. Only someone from Bangor would know what 'round Pickie' means.

nothing would happen you would be ignored or if you were reasonably entertaining you might gather a small crowd. the worst thing that might happen is you might be set upon by a group religion teachers and they will question every word you say ..... just to take the piss out of you

I wouldn't do something like that in the UK or US though
