If I download certain files using Torrent and accidentally my pc shuts down, will the donwloading continues as i turn on my computer or will I download again from scratch.

no it wont start from scratch =] it will first figure out the % that ur download is at then find connections and start downloading! love me!

Only once there was a power failure that bit torrent could not find the percentage of one of my download program and i had to re download the whole program, where as i have downlaoded several programs, improper shutdown, power failures and other problems i.e (restarting due to virus) has never caused a problem it has always strated normally.
it would be one of those rear case that happended with me.

The torrent client should pick up where it left off unless the file/s you are downloading got corrupted or erased.
