My kitten is always cleaning me and then love biting me ALL the time. He does this in the mornings and in the middle of the night. He seems very attached to me. When i use the washroom he follows me all the time and Seems to have to sit on my lap when im using hte washroom . If i dont let him he jumps up and crys anyways. Previously he was in an abusive home and Ive ha him for 5 months now and is it an attachement thing or am I a cat to him. I will admit...I act like a cat with him sometimes and its to make him relaxed and calm down (he has behavior issues) He sleeps with me. Sits with me. Walks all over me littlerally. When im cooking hes with me. Its weird but am i a cat to him... Or just a really cool parent???

I have another Cat. They get along most of the time though he is like 5 months old now and until he is neutured he he sort of gettin on her nerves but they are good friends. He use to try and nurse off of her but she let him know it was never happened though does clean him. I dont think he is attached to her as he is with me. She is more the anti-social run and hide kind oif cat when others are around. She was badly hurt and in the last year Since i had her i have helped her improver her trust life with me and she addaped very well to the kitten surprisingly

I think it is possible. My cat has been with me for about 4 months. She is really attached! She has to be around me all the time, and if I talk to her she "talks" back by meowing at me. She is still just a kitten... well, technically, she is about a year old now? The people that I got her from said that she was 8 months old, so I guess that would be about right. Well, also, sometimes she tries to nurse on me... like on my stomach or something when she is sitting on me when I am laying down. So, yeah, I would say it is possible for a cat to think that you are also a cat. Lol. Have fun!

Some cats are just more affectionate and attached to their owners than others. I have 2 cats and the older one is very anti-social he likes to be out and about and hates being stroked except when he asks to be, the little one just loves company, she follows us around the house all day and if you sit still long enough she curls up on you to either sleep or watch tv. This sounds as though your new kitten has just formed a loving attachment to his new owner.

you are not a cat to him, you are very trusted by the kitten.
and to have a kitty or cat, that has been abused is trust. that cat loves you and you are his only source to love. cats are different than a dog, most dogs will wag there tail, or bark, jump to play with you, as dogs, or most of them are very trusting, but a cat, is totally diff rent, a human has to earn the trust of a cat, unless he was raised as a kitten , they only way to help with a cats behavior problems, is to have a bottle of water , with the spray , not the hard shot of water, and to spray and say no, and i am her to tell you after all the cats i have raised, it takes Little training, but it works.
you have a friend , and if you are ever sad or depressed, and laying down, this little animal will sense it, and come and lay on your chest and purr. you can bank on it.

What a wonderful kitten you have! He's formed an attachment to you, sort of like a very cool parent. He's accepted you as part of his family. Sometimes they will run their head into you, too. I give mine a slow, two-eye blink and he blinks back. When he gets older he will think of you as HIS pet.

He's not a cat...... he's a fur person. Having resolved that, he sees you as his companion. An equal who is impeded by size, lack of dexterity and grossly inadequate in adornment.

Enjoy it while you can because when he grows up he will recognize your inferiority is permanent and his empathy will turn to indulgence.

He will still let you play with him, if he's not too busy with more important issues and feed him, within the menu he dictates, but you will lose your position of equality.

He loves you and wants to thank you for saving him from whatever abuse he was enduring. Possibly the strong attachment was brought on by a connection from a former life? My mom has dogs who act like and respond to things her old deceased pets did.

You're a cool parent!...my cat acts the same way, only she still thinks she can suckle on my shirt, which, I've just about gotten her broken from it. Cats are funny creatures. Revel in her love and attention, and accept who she is.

awww... soo cute and so wonderful of this kitty. Usually, cats that have been rescued from an injury or abusive situation or been nursed back to health become totally totally devoted pets. You are not just another cat to your kitty - you are God's gift to him... his comfort, security, joy, and funny-fun-fun all rolled into one... his very own goddess.

You are not a cat to him, you are better than a cat. I bet if you brought another cat to him he would not be very happy, in fact he would possibly hate the other cat. But he loves you, because you are his mummy!
