I live with my mother, now, at 55. I lived independently when I was married and other years before and after that. After the death of my husband, and 2 boyfriends after that, I moved back in with my mother. She is 80, so it was necessary to have someone live with her "just in case" a problem develops. Then we moved across country to live near my sister and her 2 boys. It's a great life. Some day I'll meet a man, get married again (maybe) and move mom in with us. Life is always interesting.

I loved my mother but I didn't acquiesce to her request for me to live with her and my Dad in the country. I went to a big city and established a career there. . So there, I value my independence and it feels really good. .Besides, distance makes the heart grow fonder (100 % true with my parents).
So why don't you try it?

I would preferred that I can have my personal space and live alone. However, sometimes events can dictate otherwise.
