Military OP Means a Military Operation Such as a Mission assigned to a Stealth Unit or Perhaps an Insurgency Such as the War in Iraq... The last OP i Can Think of was Operation Desert Fox but the most widely known one Was Operation Desert Sheild/Desert Storm

a common misconception is that OP means operation. OP stands for Observation Post or Point.

Depends on what kind of signal you're talking about but in most every case the abbreviation "op" means Operation

SP.......special package I used this in conversation/today. I said, basically, "In Vietnam we got SP packs. 2 a month for 25 guys. Each had 10 cartons cigs, pen-paper-candy and stuff. George, said SP?? SP? hum-mm, "special package!" So, its on the Internet now. I'll let him know its fact now.
