I have found my reason and purpose in God, should you be searching yourself, could I suggest reading a book called 'The Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren.

It is an excellent book set out to be read over 40 days which begins with "Why on Earth am I here" and so on.

I feel it might answer most of the questions you might have on this issue.

I believe I have found what I believe to be the true reason for my life at this time of my life. I am sure that it will change as the circumstances of my life and the needs of those my life encounters change. How did I do it? Actually, in this case it was the result of musch prayer to God and discussion with my wife.

I have found my calling. I have been a minister now for almost 3 years but I have ministered through music most of my life. After deciding to follow Jesus, I often asked Him to reveal to me His plan and purpose for me. Through various people and circumstances in my life, one thing was becoming clearer . I found myself loving the Word of God so much that it would just come out in conversations, actions and deeds. As I was praying one night I simply asked Him to show me why that was happening and what it meant. The next day, a friend asked me to join him in a church service he was holding at a transitional housing place. I went and gave my testimony and have not stopped going or talking about the Lord since. I now minister in our county jail and am loving every bit of it.

I believe the true reason for my life is to love God and model Christ-like behavior to everyone. This is found in His Word (Romans 8:29).

Why the answer for me was not simple .... I thought Religion could solve my problem of my true existance ... but I soon realise that I was born in this life only to suffer because of my sins in the past (bad karma).

So I look into science and also found out the same thing .. We live only to suffer .... pain and calamity always happen around us and we feel it as it causes tremendous trouble and harm to our life...

I was lost ....

not knowing what the hell am I here for .....

But, all i can tell you is this .... Keep religion as a guidance to life a happy life .... but it may not be a true reason for their life .

Why ?

Because of LOVE :)

I never knew love could make living a reason. CORNY ? yeah I agree ... Love changed my prespective on life when I only thought PAIN WAS MY TRUE EXISTANCE. But it all changed when I met my wife :) I learnt how to appreciate everyday and living happily. To commit in a relationship is my true reason of life. I love my wife ... everyday feel like valentines day :) You don't believe me ? just watch me :) hhaha

But I tell you this ..... Women are meant to be loved and cherish in life ... never make them cry .. hurt of even lie to them. God or whatever created humans as 2 saperate beings. one being man the protector and women the innocent. (Women are not weak. Only some may be too emotional.)

So as a protector I have to make sure I make my wife happy and loved. Giving her a warm atmosphere and knowing she is safe and secured is the best blessing any omipotent being can ever give me.

So I should say .... I found my true reason in my life is to protect, serve, secure, love, and Understand my wife.

her smile keeps me alive and runing everyday knowing she is what makes my world goes round. =)

Ps, to those people who cheat on relationships .... I pity your pathetic life with your "lover".

Yes. It has been discussed in almost all religious philosophies. We have come from God. We have to merge back in him. The way is to live in morality. Love one and all. Eschew hatred. Help ever and hurt never. For example, rain emanated from heating of the ocean surface, evaporation of ocean water, raising up, forming clouds, because of the cooling effect, rain falls on earth, form a river, reaches the sea.Likewise we have come from God and go back to Him. nagarajan.

Only humans are smug enough to believe we have a reason or purpose to life.

Yes -- life has no reason or purpose.

It was pretty much a no brainer once I realized that it is provable that there is no free will.
