You have to WANT to lose weight. It's that simple. You can't just sit and expect to lose weight. You sit and feel sorry for yourself and you eat and eat....so how is THAT going to make you lose weight?
Sounds to me like you are addicted to your misery. It comforts you. Look how sad my life is. Morbidly obese, I'm depressed, I am sick, etc. It's all bullshi*. If you want to lose the weight, then you have to stop making excuses and get your butt out of that chair and do what it takes.

Sweetheart, you poor thing! You need some friends, some support, and some friendly motivation. There is this great website called sparkpeople that helps people lose weight and you can make lots of friends who are also trying to lose weight and can encourage you. I highly recommend them for moral support http://www.sparkpeople.com. It is absolutely free. They can give you meal plan ideas also. IT IS FREE NO COST AT THAT SITE.
ALSO, best way to lose weight. There is sweating to the oldies with Richard Simmons, some of the people on that tape are very very overweight 300-500 lbs and they can do the moves. Just sometimes you have to go a bit slower. I think it would be a great workout for you.
I wonder if perhaps you have looked into gastric bypass? This is just a suggestion, you can lose weight the normal way but sometimes a gastric bypass is the best way and you seem to be in a depression and it hurts a lot to work out. Would your doctor recommend this for you and help you get it? I think to be 100 lbs overweight you qualify to get one. I know they can be expensive. This is just an idea of course.
Another good exercise would be to buy a gazelle. They are low impact, easier on the knees and feet. They sell them at wal mart. Good way to start getting on your way to working out.
God bless, honey, I wish you all the best. please visit sparkpeople there are many amazing people who have lost a lot of weight and are losing weight right now and they will support you. Chat in the forums, they are always so helpful and will help pep you up if you need some cheering up!

WeightWatchers is amazing and I would highly recommend joining. Although they recommend exercising, if you follow their food program (you eat what you want, but all foods have a point value and you stay within your points each day) you will lose weight. Then, once some weight is off and you feel more comfortable, it will be easier to exercise. Once you start exercising, it gets so much easier, physically as well as mentally (you begin to want to do it more, and exercise actually releases endorphins which HELP your mood and help depression). Once the weight starts to come off (with WeightWatchers, it will right away) you start to feel great about it and you're motivated to keep going and stay on track. You do need to just do it, but having a plan and taking it day by day and pound by pound makes it seem less overwhelming and you're so much more likely to succeed.. When we sit and think "my gosh, I have so much to lose, it's going to be so hard" we get overwhelmed and give up before we even start. WeightWatchers is NOT an expensive program (about $10 a week) and even if you just go to a few meetings and get the materials with the food info, you can do it yourself (if you don't want to pay the money you can do it yourself, but those who stick with the meetings have so much more success). The only reason I push WW is because it honestly is the only proven program out there and everyone who follows it has success. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change, and that's exactly what you need. I am also reason Dr. Phil's book "The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution" right now and I highly recommend that, it helps in addressing the emotional and mental reasons why we overeat and what steps we can take to change our habits - it's very motivating. Trust me, you can do it, and it seems so overwhelming now, but once you have a plan and you get going, it only gets EASIER and it's well worth it! GOOD LUCK!!!

Look into getting a tummy tuck with liposuction. Or maybe gastric bypass surgery. My friend was overweight and had a tummy tuck and it really changed her life. It inspired her to make healthy choices and exercise more, mainly because it was easier to move around.
Also, ask your doctor if you should be taking Zoloft or something for depression.
If you can't afford the weight loss surgery, check out the book "You: on a diet." It has good information in it that 's easy to follow and stick with.
Also, weight watchers has support groups now. They are expensive, but if you stick with the program it works.
Good luck, and feel better!

Don't waste your time on Weight Watchers or crap like that. What you need to do is get to the natural health food store and start eating things that are organic and natural. If you have never bought groceries there you are missing out. This is gonna sound crazy, but almost everything that a normal grocery store sells is really not that great for you at all. Compared to fast food it's a lot better, but compared to what humans should be eating? Much worse. A lot of the food is processed or is prepared using pretty horrific methods, they have long shelf lives, there are tons of ingredients, and half of those ingredients you would probably have to refer to a chemist just to find out what they are. Get to the natural health food store. You can find a lot of the same things you can in a big super market except their gonna have much fewer ingredients and are gonna be much better for you. The same goes for diet pops or drinks. Those items have artificial sweeteners and sugar in them which actually do damage to your body and make you fatter! No joke. Go to the natural health store, however, and you can find pops that are sweetened using cane juice(much healthier than sugar and tastes amazing). I could go on forever about this, but lemme just say this: unless your eating extremely healthy and still overweight somehow, there is very high chance that the food you eat is filled with chemicals that are causing all of your suffering.

sorry to hear that you are so depressed...have you had your thyroid tested if its underactive it can cause quite rapid weight gain and depression. Although it can be hard to diagnose because in my experience the normal range can be quite broad. So do a bit of investigating on the net first

The first thing you need to do is deal with your depression. Then, maybe, you can begin to deal with your weight problem.
