Homosexuality amongst men has often been seen as an issue that involves power struggle, from Roman times to modern day. Note that this is a broad generalization; there are often exceptions such as (speaking very broadly by using the following term; apologies in advance) Native American treatment of male homosexuality and samurai ethics, amongst others. However, in patriarchal societies taking the passive role in male homosexuality was seen as something that implied weakness or effeminacy, which reflected itself in things as diverse as Victorian erotica to the King James Version of the Bible.
That same power struggle doesn't often appear in treatments of lesbianism, from Sappho to Willa Cather. Women have generally not had power in patriarchal societies, so female homosexuality was not a political "threat." I would say that is why the two have been treated differently in Western society, and continue to be treated differently today, to some extent.

I'm a woman and I have a problem with homosexuality, in men and women. I understand that a persons' choice is a persons' choice, and my biggest problem is that it really seems like the gay and lesbian community want to shove it in everyones' face. It's gross, it's unnatural and it's wrong. That may be my opinion, but I don't yell and scream at every gay person I see. In fact, a good friend of mine is gay and while I don't condone his preference, and he knows it, we still manage to get along. There are lots of woman that have a problem with it, I think maybe we're just not as rude and vocal about it as many straight men.

Men have different expectations placed upon them in society. We are expected to maintain a level of masculinity that females do not experience.
Homosexuality within our society is seen as a weakness. Personally, I could care less what society thinks. But this is the only answer I can come up with from my own experience.

I can't answer from a Church point of view because I am a Wiccan.. I can answer from a male point of view, even the prudes who wouldn't admit it.. We men are wired different to you women and most of us don't find anything wrong with two girls together, as a matter of a fact we wish we could join in.. When it comes to two blokes together well that conjures up all sorts of horrible images to most of us and makes us sick.. Blessed Be.. )O(

Because homosexuality is a sin. Come on now you people you are putting your penis in an area where you poop that is gross, Gays are fecalphiliac ( poop lovers). It is unnatural. That also goes out to hetrosexuals who do the same.
God's Wrath Against Mankind
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
So go ahead call me hater and homophobe I then will call you hetrophobe.

I think it is a major insecurity thing when it comes to men. (most not all) As a woman myself, I just don't think it's my business as to what goes on in others bedrooms. Different strokes for different folks.

Women do have problems with it. They just don't show it. And there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. If you love someone then you love them.
