You can trust America, as long as everyone has pledged allegiance to it...its when her own people lose faith in it, that you begin to really worry.
If taking god out has caused so many problems why make it worse by removing an Allegiance with your country and god?
I was never big on symbolism, and for the most part I think pledging allegiance to a flag is a bit symbolic but it instills a discipline in our children that has been the foundation for patriotism. Even when some of those kids turn bad, when our country is attacked by the enemy, they allign and come together as one. Maybe the good ole Pledge has something to do with that response.
In the days following the OKC bombing, that city saw the lowest crime rates ever recorded for months. Same holds true for New York during 911.

I think saying pledge of allegiance should not be forced onto anyone, because I personally don't know if I can really trust America now days or not... Why should I pledge any allegiance to the flag that is controlled by who knows what face. I would rather pledge my allegiance to the Bible in that case, which was taken away from schools too by the way, and since than there has been none stop corruption, drugs and sex... go figure...

Yes, they as a rule do. Pledging political allegiance to a country, through the main image of that country, isn't synonomous with worshipping an idol. The Pledge does not require someone to worship the flag or the country of which it's the image.

In Texas it is still recited in classrooms.
I think it's good. I have no issues with any part of it. If anyone doesn't like it they don't have to participate. Incidentally, that's the way they do it in Texas. Anyone who doesn't want to say the pledge can just remain silent.

of course its wrong!!!!! our school still says the full pledge every mornig and i would hate it if we didnt. i dont really like saying tha pledge cause ti gets annoying but id rather say it than them taking away something that symbolises or country. if you have a problem with the "under god" part then dont make your child say the pledge or jus skip that part while saying it.

I'd rather have the classroom take portions of the Constitution and read them daily.
The flag, the republic and the nation are not nearly as important as our freedoms.
