Does religion have a role in the negligence in addressing this issue? I feel that thinking that some God is returning soon and will take care of everything for us may have some play in why we as a people haven't had much concern for green living?

Theists, just what if there is no God? We would have to take total care of our planet.

I'm not saying that a belief in God/Gods causes people to not take care of the planet, just less concern.

What is your opinion on this?

lol, my pentagram is off of the anime, Hellsing, i just like anime. I'm not satanic, nor pagan. I just changed my name to stick out.

It's not really working though it just cuts off the name, most people think it's saint Luci.

I think firstly that the global warming issue is not all that it seems to be, a lot of it seems to be natural variation.

As a Christian I certainly do not worry too much about it in the sense that we will destroy the planet, no God is in control and made the earth to last till Jesus returns.

Having said all that as Christians we should be deeply concerned about how we treat God's creation, and a belief in God should all the more prompt us to look after what God has given us.

My opinion is that any Global warming is mainly due to scientific variables- every 13 thousand years the Earth tilts its axis in the opposite direction. This cannot be stopped with our current technology and knowledge unless we quit invading peoples' privacy and spend more time and money involving research and science instead. As for St. Lucifer, your Pentagram is facing the wrong way- it should be upside down.

Someone once asked a question similar to this, and there were Christians that answered saying things like "God promised he wouldn't flood the world again, so we don't have to worry." It's scary.

I don't think it matters what God said in the past. Humans are a destructive race of people and I think He would be ashamed of the negligence of our planet.

Anthropomorphic global warming is a religion invented by Al Gore to fool the gullible and make a ton of money off of carbon offsets.
