I use vista basic. I never encountered this problem in XP.
How do I get it so my links in AIM open up in Firefox instead? The odd thing is my sidebar opens up my links in Firefox!

I don't think AIM is compatible with Firefox. but who knows

Maybe try going through AIM options, and set the default browser there to Firefox instead of IE. Sometimes different applications have their own default browsers, and you have to manually change it for that program.
