I am curious, if God talks to you is it in the form of words? Can you actually hear him within your mind? Is it an emotional feeling such as through the Holy Ghost?

Thank you =)

The two questions I asked were only from my own speculation, if there is another way please answer accordingly to how God talks to you.

God talks to us in our Conscience.

At least, that's all I know.

Don't know about how the Holy Ghost would.

Cheers!

There is no substitute for reading the Qur'an itself in its entirety - it is the closest we can come to having God speak to us directly and personally here on Earth. The Qur'an answers many questions which are commonly asked by today's men and women. Its scope is wide: from fundamental issues such as the nature of the Creator and mankind's limited free will and reason, to the more mundane such as marriage laws and whom to give charity to.

Well once God talked to me through a dream, but I couldn't hear or see him. This was like 20 years ago, but to this day I am bothered by the fact that I have no idea what he said to me.

In a hundred different ways. Through His word, the bible. Sometimes, it can be a thought, but I know I was not the source of it. Sometimes He "shows" me something, not words. And there are other ways that I don't have language to describe.

P.S. I am a Christian.

You feel it inside yourself, It's a kind of inspiration.. Whic is not only for Prophets; Humans, animals, Insects recievs inspiration...

68 And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch;

69 Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect. (Bees-68)

and if you are asking about real talk with sound, it is also possible:

51 And it was not (vouchsafed) to any mortal that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by revelation or from behind a veil, or (that) He sendeth a messenger to reveal what He will by His leave. Lo! He is Exalted, Wise. (Shura -16)

I'm a Muslim, and God talks to me through signs. It is mentioned in the Qu'ran that God talks to us via signs, to those who seek, to those who see, to those who believe. That's how it is.
