Simply put, the answer is yes. Technically, anything that's NOT sweet is considered savory. However, it's probably an unwritten rule that the flavor pairing has to be edible.

OK, I guess cranberry sauce and salt is edible, just not that appealing. A more appetizing example of sweet and savory would be a chocolate-covered pretzel. I could go for one of those right now!
