Not exactly. The Bible says that sin came into the world because of one man--meaning Adam (Romans 5:12). So, it was Adam who not only willfully disobeyed God which caused him to become a sinful (not perfect) person and because God had already set up the universal law that like produces like (See Genesis chapter 1), all his children would also be sinful and die as a result of that. Add to that the fact that Satan is in charge of all the governments (kingdoms) of the world and wants everyone to perish because he knows he will, so he is trying to influence everyone to go against God's will (which is designed to bring about our happiness) and there you have it!!

Human suffering exsisted before Eve ate the fruit. If you read the Bible carefully God created suffering. Which is clearly seen when you understand the theology of the creation account.

how can any one (god) punish for some one else eating some fruit.
