i used to cut myself for like 2 years and i did almost every day for a long time, and i finally stopped like a month ago, and then the day before yesterday i cut again, and it wasn't even a lot, it was just like two little cuts that hardly even bled at all. and i mean to not do it again but yesterday i did again and i think partly since i'd done it the day before so i'd messed up not doing it anyway so why not do it again, and it still wasn't much cuts, except now i can't stop thinking about it, and i don't even want to do it but i also kind of do, and i know i'm going to end up doing it no matter how hard i try not to, and i don't know what to do. and i don't want to tell anyone, cause i don't want anyone to know, and i can deal with it by myself. except i don't know how to keep from doing it again so i can get back to trying to stop like before.

i used to cut, I know what your going through, I still want to cut and every once and a while I will do one or two cuts. You need to just tell you self that the cut is not what makes you feel better, I thought it did, some times still try to convince my self thats what makes me feel better but it wasn't. When the scabs are gone and its just scars, I still feel the same as I did before I cut. Now I just try to do something else like write down whats making me want to cut or listen to some really loud music and try to divert my feelings. HOPE THIS HELPED!

I also have noticed you haven't seen on the internet for a while. I think for you it comes in waves. Like always, I ask you to get help. I sent some web sights that might help. Evidently you decided to ignore it. I heard wearing a rubber and around your wrist helps. If you get the urge, snap it. It cause some pain, but not so much in damage. Please go to the church, call the suicide hotline, join a suicide group on the internet, but do something. This problem won't go away by itself. I know you really want to live or you wouldn't be here asking for help. Just push yourself to the next step. YOu know this is not the best place for help, because you feel that some people are being mean to you. I understand why, because you are freaking some people out and you are indirectly normalizing suicide and giving some people inappropriate ideas. Your not the only one her with this problem. Maybe you should have a reminder on your computer that shows up every week to remind yourself to get help. YOu may not feel strong enough now, but maybe the computer will remind you when you do feel stronger to call someone. As always you could e-mail me.

r u hurting inside again? if so then thats why. u r trying to find a way to deal w/ur pain so u cut ur self. this sorta works but only for a little while and it just makes u think about ur outward pain instead of the inward pain. u should try talkin to a counsler or something. they can help. it might be embarrising but it will be better in the long run. if u dont want to do that then u can email me and ill listen to u and help if i can. good luck.

there is no shame in asking for help with something like this.
This is how you cope with stress when you don't have any other way to deal with it. Thus you need to find another way to deal with stress.
Make a plan of what to do when you feel the urge to cut.
Learn preventive ways to avoid the need to cut.
Exercise is great way to get rid of built up tension.
A brisk walk or a swim will do wonders for you.
Please get some help if you continue this

If you can deal with it by yourself, why are you still thinking about it?
You really should tell someone.
Did anyone know before, when you were cutting yourself the first time?
If someone did, tell them about this, if you can rely on them to help you.
If they didn't, tell a new person.
It never hurts to ask questions--why else would you put up this question in the first place, then?

Cutting releases adrenaline, that's why you get a rush when you do it, you just need to find a different way to get a rush some extreme examples would be skydiving bungee jumping just get adrenaline pumping and you'll feel the rush without cutting

Usually people cut themselves because in the past there was some pain in their lives. People cut themselves because in their mind, they are in control of the pain. Did something happen to remind you of something occuring in the past, or did something happen that caused you pain in order to cut again?
Either way, you might want to seek counseling to find out why you started again...

next time you have the urge to cut yourself hold an ice cube in your hand. This has the same painful effect without the scars. Good luck!!

You know that you cannot help yourself. You must tell your doctor and get help. If not, you will never stop. There are many like you, you know that too.
