I think so. I had some raised brown moles on my neck and the dermetologist removed them. I also have one on my back that has turned a red color that my OB happened to see after I had my baby. She said that i should have that one removed that it looked "cancerous" anyways I think that if its turning darker u should definitley have it removed. I should have a mole check every year and i seem to forget it. It's not right if it grows, thats my opinion anyways......if anything they will remove it for cosmetic reasons.

If it is not imposing any kind of discomfort or health risk I would leave it alone because if you do have it removed it is a possibility it will grow back anyways and maybe even bigger. And tell your fiance it is not a mole it is a "beauty mark" it has been there for ten years and let it stay for ten more!

The question is does it bother you? If your ok with it...keep your money and rock on...otherwise go ahead. but you need to also remember this....where the mole is at...there will be some kind of scar from the removal....which is worse to you AND your finace? Oh and by the way...I applaude your getting it checked yearly...WAY TO GO!!! Cheers to good health & prevention!

If there is no change in the mole since you've had it for 10 yrs, then don't worry about it unless it is just something that is worrying you. You could get a second opinion.

Please don't listen to the guy who said you should cut it off yourself.
You are right to have your doctor watching it yearly.
If it changes shape and especially if it gets uneven edges you need to see your doc asap
You have the right as a patient to ask your doctor to cut it off.
There is no real reason to cut it off except it will make your gf feel better. Only you can choose if that is reason to do it.
You might have her go to the doc and she can hear what the doc says and she will be more comfortable with it

It could just be a wart or a boil. It is not common, but is possible. (Forget what I said about the sun burn thing) But I'm not excally sure.

go to the doctor and have them cut it off. theyll freeze it so if they cut it off, it wont be painful. plustheyll cut it off cuz that is what you made an appointment for, not to hae it looked at again.
