I think that all are born good. But in our Flesh we war against good and evil.Evil wins sometimes good sometimes.
We seek forgiveness for our sins and our sinful nature.
Some people just turn evil, because they turn on God.
Others appear good till you get to know them.
Babies are sweet ,pure, innocent little souls.<><

Not in a million years.
Your question brought something to my mind. When asked about why one believes in God, one of the most common responses is something like, "Just look at a new-born baby to see the miracle of God." And a very well known song says, "Every time I hear a new-born baby cry... then I know why I believe."
And yet those same people believe that all of mankind is sinful, that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God," so even that new-born baby is sinful and evil, needing salvation. We all are sinners from birth, they say, our sinfulness inherited somehow because Adam's curiosity and lust overwhelmed his good judgement and God's commandment to him.
Isn't that an interesting contradiction?
And I wonder - if ALL have sinned, then as most Christians say we are sinners from birth. But if life starts at conception, as many profess, are we sinners the instant the sperm hits the egg, or is sin imputed to us when we are actually born?
Hmmm....

The Bible teaches us that we are all born perfect in God's image. His children, Holy and Blameless.
Outside influences and Internal Influences (the moral conscience) is what leads to our first evil behavior.
This evil behavior can only occur once is aware that he is making a deliberate choice away from good.
***UPDATE***
We do not have evil in us from birth. Rather we have the ability to make a choice. We develop an awareness of morality and make a choice. Adam and Eve were not evil. God called the creation good. However, they were presented with a choice. The presentation of the choice and the temptation to disobey the command they were given were not evil. It was only when they made a choice that was a deliberate decision against the will of God, did evil come into their lives. The same with us today.

We are all born with the potential to do evil. We are human, and it is in our nature to do harm to something. It is just the way the world works. It is impossible to be perfectly good. We can strive for it, but regardless we will always inflict some kind of evil in our life times.

We are born imperfect AND we are surrounded by Satan's world trying to influence us to act against God's will. So, we have 2 strikes against us before we even really begin our lives. That is why it is so important to train our children from infancy to search for God and come to know his will and as adults to read the Bible daily and pray for holy spirit to help us understand. Without God's direction, we are bound to fail and failure in this system can mean an end to life permanantly.

We are born into Sin, because of the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden, and to that day we did not have anything we could do to redeem our selves till Jesus Christs' Death. Yes we are all born into Sin, and we are made Holly by the work that was done on the Cross.

God tells us that we are all born with a sinful nature because of Adam. That is why He sent Jesus to die for our sins. He willingly gave his life, when He was sinless, to pay for our sins.
The good news is that Jesus, the new Adam, is alive now and the same power (God's Holy Spirit) that raised Him from death will someday raise us, if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior and repent of our sins which means to turn away from them.
We can do nothing to redeem ourselves. Not religion or our good works. Jesus is our redemption.
New born babies are sweet and precious. Although they have not committed any sinful act yet, they still have the sin nature that God tells us causes death. When they understand this, they will also need to accept Jesus.
Don P. Yes, from the moment of conception we inherited the sin nature. It's in our DNA, it causes us to die. Even babies. When God created man his intention was for him to live eternally. It still is, because of what Jesus did for us.

We are born with a sin nature that we inherited from Adam and the sin in the Garden of Eden. Because of that sin Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden and the earth was cursed with thorns and thistles, insects poisonous snakes and spiders all the things we have to contend with in order to earn our food by the sweat of our face(brow).

I believe a human is born neutral. That person can either be turned evil or good depending on how he/she is treated throughout their life by family and experiences.
