Just because something is a complexity, and we fail to understand it, doesn't mean it's not real. Free Will is always going to be hard to explain. But if the alternative is to conclude that there is no purpose to life then I would have to disagree. To me it's obvious THAT is wrong even if I don;t always have all the answers to all the tough questions.

I don't agree. That depends on which line of thinking you are in.
For me, a person is endowed with faculties higher than that of animal.
A person can have sex, animals do copulate.
A person has the wisdom to choose whom he belongs.
