Why are some girls so shallow?

It really makes me wonder why in highschool the prettiest girls go for the QB of the football team, in college go for the President of the fraternity, and life go for the rich doctor...

I use to model, i'm pretty popular in school, I want join a fraternity, and I intend on becoming a doctor. Ive shunned some very pretty girls b/c I believe most of them wanted me for the wrong reasons.

I don't want to do every girls that comes my way, all I want is that one girl that wants me for me...is that so hard to ask???

I understand you, sort of. I want a guy that likes me for me, and just because I dont fit the regular type of girl who decides to go and spent 50 dollars on a shirt when I would rather spend it on a video game, the girl who would rather be worrying about their weight when I would be worrying about getting my next belt in Taekwondo, the kind of girl who worries about social status when I don't give a damn.

Boys just don't get me, and that gets frusterating at times.. but in the end, I figure, its their loss if they want to lose a girl who's got her own mind...

Wait for the one who, even though you turn her down, still wants to hang out with you, still wants to get to know you, and doesn't care about your proffesion.. Wait for the one who you were friends with first, wait for the one who asks you whats wrong when your having a bad day even though you havent said anything about it.

Guys that come from good families and have learned to treat women with respect unfortunately have a huge handicap in terms of generating the BIG CHEMISTRY that chicks crave - which is like crack cocaine for them

Unfortunately females retain a huge amount of evoutionary baggage where seed spreading males for the first 3 to 5 million year of evolution- had a survival edge in most cases

Females subconscioulsy seek to mate with males increasing the females odds in the genetic survival lottery of life

So in effect most chicks are going to have a built-in attraction toward controlling, deceptive, and cheating bad boy types-- its just part of nature

However assuming someone doesn't want to become a lowlife - just a tinge of cheating (ie she believes you are cheating or will cheat even if you are not) - in some case would be sufficient to ratchet up that "chemistry":

Noncontrolling, honest, monogamous "nice guys" think they are doing chicks a big favor - when in fact they are usually killing the "chemistry" that chicks want and need, and in effect are deemed evolutionary non-survivors or dead-ends thus chicks truly become bored with them as they cannot offer the illusive promise of genetic immortality

The bottom line: females actually crave a bit of disrespect from their men - otherwise he's likely to end up in the " just a friend category" ash heap

I see what you are saying; however, I think you need to give some of these girls a chance. If you shun every pretty girl who is attracted to you b/c of your ambitions and goals; you will never find a girl. In fact, I would suggest dating a girl that appreciates and supports your lifestyle, dreams and goals. In order for this to happen, you need to be open to these girls. Keep them as friends, you don't' have to sleep w/ them or make them your girlfriends. See which ones are genuine and which are not. If you immediately push all these girls away, there is a chance you will spend a good portion of your life alone.

I believe most people want that same thing, to be seen for who they are and appreciated faults and all. That's what I want; someone who will love me because I'm me.

I had a guy that I have known for a long time, who I thought was my friend completely use me. He was physically attracted to me, but that's as far as it went. It sucks to be used. However, don't jump to any conclusions. Although some girls might be attracted to you initially for what seem to be superficial reasons, it might not be as cut and dry as you think.

There's no way for a girl to want you for you without knowing you first! And, like it or not people choose who they want to get to know by some sort of criteria, whether it be how they look, or sound, or perhaps they seem intelligent or whatever it might be. Whatever it is that intrigues you to want to find out about someone else, they have their own ideas of what makes a person interesting and worth getting to know. How many times have you noticed something about a girl that sparked your interest to get to know her better? Perhaps your criteria are less shallow than someone else's, or maybe they're not.

Anyway, yeah, I think we all want someone who truly cares about us for who we are, regardless of the external trappings, or at least I hope so. The shallow ones, eh, they probably just don't realize that. They think that they'll be happy with some sort of cardboard cut-out image of a person that looks like everything they want, instead of noticing the substance the person is made of.

And for the main area not probable. you have your widely used peeps-jocks, preps, cheerleaders. a number of them are extremely outstanding and talk with in certainty every physique. I hate to say it, but a lot of young girls, not all, are very absorbed in appearance. It sounds as if you have a more mature way of looking at relationships and should focus on women who are more mature and/or older. I bet while you're in college you'll find a great woman when you least expect it. Good luck in school. :)

It's all about status, After high school they want to be with the rich guy who can buy them the finest car, house, and jewelry which futher ups their status and places them on a higher pedestal.

Signs of good character are usually in a persons deeds. Its easy to distinguish the shallow girls from the good ones. Just stand back for a sec and listen to what they actually talk about, care about and spend their time doing.

Not all girls are like that. You just have to find the right one... avoid cheerleaders, haha sorry, just a little humor there:) ANYWAYS.... you'll find the right one when you least expect it
