Someone answered your question saying there is no proof that Jesus [the Christ] existed. And, I must say, in spite of the Bible, there are just so many numerous accounts, not just from the Christian Bible, but also from the Islamic Koran, and Jewish writings, as well as Roman writing, that acknolwedge that Jesus had lived in that time, and the things that happened to Him except the Koran, which states He existed, but they do not think He was crucified (go figure!)].
Someone else asked you how many times does he need to give Jesus a change. My answer is simple: continuously! All the time. It is not Jesus that let you down [as that is why I am pretty sure you 'gave up' on Him]. It is other people who let you down. But...give your all to Christ...your heart, your soul, and your all...and Christ can and will change you into what you and He both want, according to God's will. I am sorry other people have hurt you and let you down...but you can still believe and live for Christ. You really can! [And I am a perfect example, too].

There are some that did give Jesus a chance. However Jesus' representatives have turned these people off. I was raised christian, and my husband was also raised christian. We both turned away for different reasons. here are my reasons from turning away. 1) Although I was raised christian, ever since i was little, I have believed in magic, dragons, and other "ungodly" things. I would have been lectured harshly if people would have known these things. 2) Although I was treated in a friendly way I didn't have real friends in the church. People were friendly towards my face but in reality they could care less about me. 3) I started to become confused and christ didn't help to calm my confusion. only when I discovered the pagan path did things begin to clear for me. 4) People nearly shun me when I tell them how I believe and interpret the bible. I've told my dad how i interpret the bible and he says that I am wrong. Of course the bible isn't exactly specific in certain areas. 5) Why do I want to be apart of a religion that is so divided that Christians of different denominations point to eachother, not to mention other religions altogether, and say that others are wrong. At least with the pagans I've met they all believe differently but they at least respect eachother's beliefs and don't try to shove their beliefs down other's throats. 6) Plus I have seen too many stories that were written prior to the bible that mimic the story of Christ. most of them egyptian in origin. From Ra-Atum and his defeat of the serpent in the garden, Osiris died on a tree, was mummified and resurected, Horus born of a virgin.

Because society says we are good enough to get to heaven on our own and we are independent and we don't need God or have use for God God is a option not a priority Many are being brought up without Jesus so they don't see a need or value for Him. Jesus is a gentleman He will knock at the door of your heart not barge in and break the door down He does not force you to follow him In addition Jesus never stayed anywhere we was not welcomed He went where he was celebrated not where he was tolerated we should do the same as well.

Some people just don't care.
Dragons had idols in his life even though he grew up in a church. He never gave Jesus a chance. Instead just blamed everyone else for loving dragons, etc. more than God.
Also, manytimes people rebel against Gods Love & Saving Grace until they are facing tragedy in their own personal life & no one else can help or save them. Sometimes that is even on their death bed, & God hears them. Sometimes they die & end up in hell fire because they wouldn't call to Jesus in the end.

I guess some people don't give Jesus a chance for a number of different reasons. However, I think one is because they don't want to be servants nor be committed to him. Jesus said if you follow me you must deny yourself take up your cross and follow in his footsteps. That calling is just NOT the most marketable thing for one to try.

Jesus was a cult leader. He was a petty thief and magician. He duped his followers to provide a life of complete and total Slack (see www.subgenious.com). He was a first century Rasputin. A criminal in the eyes of the law, and of his congregation.
He did not rise from the dead, rather he took a voodoo potion from the water his mother gave to him while he was on the cross. The potion subdued his cardiopulminary system which convinced the authorities that he was dead.
Later the next day, Jesus awoke from the effects of the voodoo potion and, deciding that business couldn't get more dangerous, he ran and ran and ran.

For many people because believing in Jesus is too simple and they think they have to work to earn salvation and don't believe it's a free gift.

The Bible says that people don't want to be accountable to anyone; they don't want to have to answer for the wrong things they've done. I thank God that He showed me that I couldn't make it on my own, and how much I needed His saving blood! There will always be people that will reject His sacrifice; but take heart and know that we can help others to know The One that died and rose again on the third day so that we can live. God bless you!

I did give him a chance, actually many chances, for 17 years and he never came through for me... Not once.
How many chances am I required to give before I wash my hands of the whole concept, because I lost count?
