He doesn't see you as a "woman", so to speak. He most likely, like someone else stated, sees you more like a younger sister. :)

my bf calls me kid all the time cuz he's 18 almost 19 and i'm 16. i hope isn't not a bad sign lol.. but maybe he likes to use it as an affectionate term
