My husband was taken away from his biological mother at the age of 2. He was adopted by his biological uncle on his father's side. Later , he was taken away from them and moved to another state where he was adopted again. He does remember her name while she was married to his father but she has since remarried. Any help on people searches would be appreciated.

Because he has the name of his first mother, even though she is remarried, he's in a good position to search. Try this site:

http://www.voompeople.com/processor.asp

Now, it's a pay site to actually get info, but what's good about it is that for free it gives you maiden names, remarried names, former towns, and possible relatives. Give that a try first... if it doesn't pan out for you let me know and then he'll have to go the traditional route of searching adoptees. Good luck - I'm crossing my fingers for you guys!! Having the name is a huge step!

PS Adoped twice.... ouch. That has to be hard.

He needs to contact his uncle. I'm assuming that if he remembers his mothers name then he remembers his uncles. Chances are his uncle will know someone who knows where she is. This will be harsh but if he was taken away from her then shes not a good mother and he prob doesnt need her back in his life. And also hes over 18 now and if she wanted him in her life then she could have found him by now. ....
If the uncle doesnt kneo anything and your hub is determined to find this stranger then go to www.mauryshow.com and click Be A Guest. Maury can find anyone.

Does he know the state/county she was married in? A lot of states allow internet searches for marriage & divorce records. From there he can use sites such as zabasearch.com

Ask the state that took him away for help.

Or try those web sites that help you to make family trees.

Try court records if he knows her name. Try State websites that list licenses for professions. teachers nurses, etc.....
