I have a problem (obviously!!!). For the past two nights, I have been staying awake until like 2 am. (it's 1:18 am right now..)..I don't drink caffeine drinks. I only sleep like 7 hours a day if even that much. I don't even feel sleepy. Is it from stress? Anyone going through this right now?? What do you people think is wrong with me??!

I have a full time job which requires me to be on my feet all day and then I come home to a 10 month old baby which requires all of my attention (which I love anyways) so I don't know if I can fit any more "exercise" into my already hectic schedule.

I agree with the other posters.
Increasing daytime activity can help. Watch out for "hidden" stimulants like herbal products, sodas like mountain dew (packed with caffeine), and nasal decongestant pills like sudafed, allegra-D, (anything-D), etc.
Could it be stress? Sure. What do you lie there thinking about or worrying about? Sometimes people get into a rut with worry... especially worrying about not getting enough sleep (it feeds on itself). Excessive worry for any reason can be a sign of stress.
Here's something: there is more daylight here in the northern hemisphere every day this time of year. Som sleep experts say to limit artificial light as much as possible... even if it's in the next room.

Try being more active in the daytime. Don't exercise after dinner but during the day, get up at a regular time, and keep busy and active.
Two hours before a set bedtime, start to relax, maybe a hot bath, a cup of hot milk sometimes works. Don't talk on the phone or watch a lot of TV.
If it persists past a week then try some over the counter medicine. If you are sleeping from 2 am to 9am that is sufficient sleep - try getting up earlier.
Also you are on the computer at 1:18, it means you aren't relaxing preparing for sleep to come.

I am going through this right now, and I am also a collge student, so no break for me in any time frame, lol. Stress can be doing it, too much on your mind, your bio. clock is getting confused and you're staying up and sleeping at the wrong times....Late night partying or eating can do it. I mean, if it's working for you, and you're not feeling all wore out, then I wouldn't be too overly concerned. Good luck nonetheless.:D

Same here. This is normal for me either. I tried an herb a couple of night's ago caller valerian root. I woke up refreshed the next day. I'm afraid to take it on a regular basis, due to dependency? Good luck to us both!
