I just broke up with bf a few days ago and I'm craving bad foods like crazy. I've tried to exercise, cycle, go the gym, read, and everything but I still crave them. I avoid them most of them time but tonight I gave in and had a chocolate brownie or two. Help... I don't want to gain weight for a dumb bf.

Oh girl, I am right where you are at, only I have gone and done let myself gain a few..not good, I know. Drink water...even if it's the sparkling good flavored stuff, or the health water made by Powerade. Do something to keep your mind occupied...start a new hobby. Treat yourself a little bit though, do sneak in a piece or two of chocolate, or a nice ice cream at a shop like DQ or something, don't totally cut yourself off. Also, expand your social circle. Get out there and mingle, get your mind off all the negative stuff, have fun, and enjoy life...

one brownie or two isnt going to hurt you !! But I would just keep your mind off him and focus on other things. Friends ? Animals ? Writing everything down about how you feel is a great way to get it all out and not eat it away. Hope you get through it soon.

Sometimes comfort food is good, but not too much. Feel free to indulge in a brownie, but just one. Try keeping yourself busy. Talk to someone who is willing to listen to your rampants about your dumb ex. Talk, talk, talk and talk somemore, that it comes to a point where you no longer even want to think or talk about him. Then, your cravings should go away.

seems like you are doing the right things, uts ok to give in to your cravings every now and then just don't go over board and it helps to have some one close to talk to and help you get through this bad time we all have them and go through it at some point in time or another. time is the best way to heal things and the sooner you can let go and go through the emotions the sooner you will dtart to feel better in the long run!!! so...go give your self some "YOU TIME" like go get a body massage, or new make over, new book, music what ever you do to relax and make your self feel better!!!

Ok this is kinda a good way but dont go to far with it. Think if you eat more food than needed your ex bf wont be jelous of you when he sees you. Right before u r about to give in to a browine think. Would me stuffing my face in browines make (his name) Jelous. I dont want you to stop eating but it can help until you get over him

Keep yourself occupied. Work, do hobbies, crafts, hang with friends and family. Keep very busy and you won't think so much about food.

Try talking to a therapist, and maybe they could help you control your eating urges, by helping you cope with your life stressors.
