Microsoft Office Powerpoint cannot burn anything. I think you should not have any problems to burn .ppt files onto a CD-R. Just make sure you put all the linked files in the same folder. The problem is with your burning software. What software do you use?

There's no restriction on Powerpoint files. They're just files like any other file. One thing to check is whether Powerpoint or any other app like Outlook that you may have opened it up from is completely closed, otherwise it may be hanging on to it. Use Task Mgr to make sure the apps are not running.

I don't think that it is your PPT. It should be the software that you use to burn the CD with.
