I'm temporarily dying my hair black on friday. should i spray on the temporary dye after straightening my hair or before? i know that getting straightened hair wet unstraightens it...but would dying my hair before straightening it make it impossible to straighten? help!

i would straighten first, so that u dont ruin ur straightener, but if it makes ur hair too wet and turns it back to curly, then you'll just have to dye then straighten

No it won't make it impossible to straighten but it might make a mess...make sure you read the directions first before doing anything. Is it safe to apply heat to a sprayed on dye? Be careful. You don't want to set off a flame fire or singe your hair.

Coloring your hair before you straighten it will not affect the ability to do so. This is assuming that are you planning to straighten it with a flat-iron (and be sure to use a heat protectant first as well). If you mean a relaxer or perm, then you would want to use the color at least one week after the relaxer or perm.

If you are planning to use storebought spray-on haircolor, be aware that sometimes they are not that 'temporary' and black is the hardest color to remove.

straighten first. or else the dye might rub off onto the straitener and it'll be a mess

Striaghten it first, then do light coats of the spray. If you spray first the product might burn off. Style it how you want it then spray in light even coats.

straighten first, it will make it look more even especially if you have wavy-curly hair.
