As a matter of fact she justifies lies. Seems to me Jesus said The truth will make you free". Of course, Islam teaches those words were corrupted. Hello? Where is truth in this discussion?

AKMAL: Superfluous with the anology, but straight with Truth is truth. I'm getting the idea that Islam allows lieing. Whoops! They revere Jesus but some how "The truth will set you free" has become corrupt. Gotcha!

The link is given so you know I didn't make this up and therefore am not lying. I do not justify lies; some in Islam do. http://www.albatrus.org/english/lien_of_oz/islam/comprehending_cultural_incompatibility.htm
You have no "facts" I justify lies.
You asked about lies, not truth.
Taqiyya–Lying and deception–In common with most religions of the world Islam lays claim to prohibition of lying and deception. For instance, Sura 40:28 reads–‘ Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies.’
Other clearly prohibited kinds of lying are– A lie against Allah; A lie against Mohammed or lying to; about or between, fellow Muslims.
Notwithstanding, Islam does embrace exceptions to such prohibition when under particular circumstances, lying is acceptable; even encouraged.
One Muslim scholar Alif A. Tabbarah writes (in Spirit of Islam p. 247) lying is not always bad, to be sure; there are times when telling a lie is more profitable and better for the general welfare and for the settlement of conciliation amongst people, than telling the truth. To this effect the Prophet says–‘He is not a false person who (through) lies settles conciliation amongst people supports good or says what is good.’
Permissible lying includes:
Lying to save ones life.
Lying to effect peace or reconciliation.
Lying to persuade or appease a woman.
Lying to find a safe course on a journey or expedition.
Lying in situations of war.

when you go in the logics of the things forbidden in Islam you get such a satifying answer that you turn speech less however to tell u in simple if you tell a lie u are plunged into so many other lies that u have to tell to cover the first one and it goes on and on and its biggest set back is that it makes you disturbed as man is good by nature and one's consience does start pricking for some unallighnment. social consiquences are in addition to that . however Islam is not selfish at all you can tell lie if it is inevitable and if it comes to save your life you can lie even you can say that you are not on ur religion because you are obligatory to save your life too
just cant deny the logics you would get for the dos and donts of Islam.Satisfaction is guaranteed

Truth is Truth.
No need any defination.
Let me explain; you introduce your father will you prove or define that you are true?
Edit :In Islam, THE LIE IS THE MOTHER OF ALL SIN, but its allow in this sitiation if an innocent life can be save because of your lie. I think it is very nice philosophy defining the worth of human life. And as you say that “ truth will set you free” I personally deny that you truth is taking the life of an innocent. What you think??
And listen we don’t revere the Jesus (pbuh) but give him due respect as he desired

According to Islam you can lie in the Following cases:
1- Between a man and his wife: You may tell your wife; "you really are beautiful tonight but I'm tired and I can't have sex", instead of saying: "This hair dressing is funny and It turned me off", or "This dish is great but I think it's missing something?" instead of "your food is disgusting".
2- settling disputes between people; you may lie by saying: "Mark, Paul told me he didn't mean to hurt you", Instead of "He said if time is back, he'll do it again".
3- in cases of War; were you are acptured by the enemies and asked for military secrets, positions, or any info about your army.
Those are the rightous lies, and they were allowed to make the world better.
