Decreasing your caloric intake and exercising as much as you can. There is an exercise video for people who are chair bound. It's called "chair dancing". I have it and it really does provide a good work out. Look at www.chairdance.com
Good luck.

Can you move your legs but just can't walk? You can use weights. Even if you're paralyzed at least your upper body. Do different lifts. Start with 2 lb. weights. Increase till you can do 10 lb. weights. Eat right. If you can, go for "walks" every day. Get out there and move yourself in that chair! That will burn calories and make you feel better.

Drink plenty of water. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Don't eat white bread or white rice. Stay away from fried foods. Get someone to buy you a pair of light dumbells so you can work your arms to help burn additional calories. You will also look better with your arms toned. The main thing to do is to EAT HEALTHY.
