Hi
Well i always wanted to get married and settled in life but was waiting
for the right time and age.
Time being the factor when i reach a respectable career position
and age being mature enough.
I preffered love marriage as i thought you get to know other person better
and there is no time limit as strict as there is in arranged marriage( fiance to husband).
I am in a problem as Now proposals are coming from all the sides.
I wanna Date girls before i get married(to see with whom i would like to spend my life with)
I had a relationship but now i dont have a girlfriend.
Do you think its right(Dating girls)?

You said you wud prefer love marriage. but that is only 'if' you had been in love with someone. but are not! and now you have two proposals at hand. so if you think you are ready for marraige just meet your proposals with an open mind and discuss the likes-dislikes, pros-cons of marriying that person. you may call it a date or a meeting. its one and the same.

I would have never married my wife without dating her first... we spent countless hours communicating online, on the phone, as well as in person.

Yes I believe in long engagements... 2 years before deciding to marry. You want a marriage to last a life time, you should want to be as certain as possible that you are both compatible.
Arranged marriages are really too much of a gamble for me. If I hardly know her who am I able to promise to love and obey for the rest of my life.

Arranged marriages are always better! There's an aura of romance on the day you get married ...it's the beginning of a romance while in love marriages, marriage may many a time be the ending of your romance!

Have you also considered that in Indian society, what is the image of a girl who dates you for two years and after that decides not to marry you? What is the guarantee that after two years you will ultimately marry her at all?

go for love marriage. but don't just take the looks alone as it may wash away sooner. look for the character behavior and other qualities of the girl. understand each other and get married.

ive seen arrange marriages and love marriages. they both have their ups and downs. check out the girls ur family wants u to marry. talk to them. get to know them. take them out.

I think you should start dating before you decide on which one to marry....you never know you might fall in love again. In my opinion it is very important to know the person before you get married, so take your time in getting to know the person and see how compatible you are......then jump into marriage.
