I have a complicated situation..My grandparent and I have had a falling out due to my father and I not having a relationship..I had not spoken to my grandparents in almost a year until recently around Christmas time..I have not seen them in over a year and I am going to be by their house on friday for a job interview..I was thinking of calling them to see if I could stop by for a visit..I'm nervous to call as to what they might say since I have not spoken with them since Christmas.I was not the one who chose to not see them or speak to them and when i did talk to them they seemed happy to hear from me. The only thing is that I asked them if we could get together and they said they would get back to me and have not..So I'm wondering is it a good idea to call and ask or just not even bother?

First prepare for ur interview n call ur grandparents before in hand to ask them if u could come in to meet em or do ey ve alternate plans.
by asking them u would get an idea of how ey are gonna react to you.
since if u barge in all of a sudden, ey might even get offended for once..y to take a risk in ur emerging relationship.
by knowing their views before hand u would also be relieved of this tension and can think only about ur performance in ur interview.
hope u get thru in both of them.. all the very best!!!

First, Go to the interview (Good luck) and Ace it! Then, just Go there! Don't call; just show up! It's much harder for folks to say No in person!

They're probably just hurt and used that for leverage!

Explain that you're now an Adult and will act like one.

Good Luck Bud!

Well it would be out of respect to call them if you know what I mean and yes, do give them a call to drop by for a visit. You are still their favourite grandson for all you know and they will always welcome you to their house anytime. Have a good and enjoyable time!

Since they said they would get back to you I would recomend waiting until they do, you made the effort to see them and now they need to act their age and accept your offer of seeing them..hope it works out for the best.

i would just go for it you don't want to disconnect yourself and maybe that is the impression they are getting...just give them a call and ask if they would like to have lunch or something cuz you will be in the area...it sounds very polite and not pushy.-good luck man

be the bigger person and call them back again. that way they'll kno how much u care about repairing ur relationship with them. you'll regret it if u dont. think about wat u can lose vs wat u can gain from it. they were happy to hear from u the first time were'nt they?
and good luck on that interview =)
