I wouldn't say that "all black people pronounce" because not only them do that pronunciation. Márquez (which is the right spelling, has a "tilde" on the "a" because the world is "llana" has the strong pronunciation on "Már" an it ends in "z"; confusing but is Spanish grammar) is my last name and all no Spanish people pronounce it wrong. Unfortunately, I don't know how to explain you the right pronunciation here.

I don't know from all black people. I do know that all sportscasters commit this kind of travesty much of the time, from way back when Tony Perez was always puh rays, with the accent on the ultimo. Recently, I have noted that some sportscasters are occasionally getting the names more or less right, so I guess it's time for the Japanese and Chinese to complain. And I don't know from that either.
