The human and dog body temperature and pH balance are different, so that viruses that thrive in one species can't live in the other..thank God!
The only diseases we share with dogs are parasitic, fungi or amoebic.

No, only other dogs or puppies can. I do NOT recommend the bordatella vaccine because it only covers 3-4 strains of the disease when there are over 30. The vaccine itself often makes dogs sick (like the flu shot). Kennel cough goes away on its own just like the human cold does and dogs that are not stressed with healthy immune systems don't typically get it (my dogs are not vaccinated for it and almost all my fosters have kennel cough, but my own dogs don't come down with it). Give ester vitamin C twice a day and it will help even faster. For a 50 lbs dog, 1000 mg twice a day is fine. For a 25 lbs dog, 500 mg twice a day is fine, etc.

It may be theoretically possible for someone with a very weak immune system (like a HIV patient) to catch kennel cough, at least the bacterial form, but for normal people, no you can't catch this.

I have never heard of the cough transfering from dog to human so I would say no. Be careful around other dogs because its very contageous.

No, I have experience with this topic. My dog had it as a
pup and other dogs can get it. It can be very serious if it is
not treated. The vet will just give you some medication for
your pet, and the cost is very little. Your pet can die from this.
Some dogs get it quite bad. Even if the cough seems slight,
still see your vet.

No. You should get your dogs the bordetella shot and keep your dog away from other dogs so it doesn't spread.
