Hi... I agree with bluestar. Unless you feel unsafe doing so, you really should tell your parents. If that's not safe, do you have a school nurse or counselor that you trust? Lastly, if you feel unsafe telling your parents, do you have a friend with parents you can trust for sound advice (not a friend whose parents drink alot or do drugs).
Treatment with drugs is only one possible answer... talk therapy with a professional counselor works well with and without drugs. Don't just keep it a secret, okay? Take care of yourself... you're worth it.

Please go and talk to another trusted adult. Perhaps a teacher or a minister. It sounds as if you may be suffering from actual depression rather than just having a few bad days. All of us feel bad sometimes. It is only natural and it doesn't mean anything if it goes away after a bit. Again, please talk to someone. Street drugs are not the answer. If you have a chemical imbalance that is causing your depression you will most likely need to have a good doctor prescribe something for you until it passes. (Most of the time it does).
You don't need to live with this. You are worth more than all the stars in the sky and you need to take care of yourself. Consider talking to your parents about it. Unless I am very much mistaken, they will help you figure out what to do.

If you are 18 or over, health information is confidential so not even your parents will know unless you choose to share this information with them. However, it is more than likely they will be a necessary help and support to help you through this. Especially if they can understand that depression is an illness, never anybody's fault. Your close friends are also a resource, and should also be a support for you.
Regardless of your age, discussions with a therapist are confidential, so unless there is a need to know, the topics discussed with the therapist or counselor are usually not shared with others. Privacy agreements are standard in the mental health profession. Please consider seeing a doctor or professional therapist since only a doctor can prescribe non-herbal medicines for depression.

Do something that is rewarding when you accomplish it. Talk and hangout with friends. Do something fun with your mom and dad.
