Hello everyone,

Saturday is my twenty-first birthday, and I'm in need of some recipes for appetizers, main course, dessert, cake, etc.

I was thinking the following would be a real crowd pleaser:

Alcoholic beverage: Sangria
Non-alcoholic beverage: Punch
Appetizers: Nachos with black bean salsa dip, chips.
Main course: Homemade pizza.
Dessert(s): Tiramisu layer cake and classic tiramisu.

Please load me up with suggestions!!! Thanks!

Your recipes sound good. Since it is your 21st, make easy things that can be prepared ahead of time, mostly. Some other appetizer ideas: crab dip or artichoke and spinach dip with veggies and toasted bread; pigs in a blanket; quesadillas with guacamole; cocktail wieners with hot mustard; potato skins with chives, sour cream, and cheddar; mini tacos; a good cheese and cold cut tray. Maybe shrimp cocktail if you can afford it, smoked oysters, or smoked salmon.

The main course is great. Don't go too expensive or too difficult.

Try something simpler for dessert if you want; most people will be drinking their dessert anyway. Cheesecake or strawberries and chocolate would be cool. It is a 21st birthday party, after all, so some chips and cheese (nachos is def. a good choice), some cold cuts or pizza, peanuts, and alcohol is all you need to provide. Don't spend too much or get too elaborate; ENJOY yourself!

lol ... I like all thoughs foods but its a bit of to many food types. Mexican american italian. Sangria is so sweet it might mix weird with bean.

I like the idea of having a pitcher drink though that would be cool. Some mixed drink everyone can enjoy. It sounds like your just having a house party will friends over. If your not looking for a sit down dinner try doing buffet style with some munch foods. That was you guys and mingle.
