two men are born on the same day on the same hour in the same hospital and room they are not twins, they are not brothers but have the same mother how is this possible?
Can someone tell me the correct way of saying the joke and what the answer is?

i think you got the question wrong... even if they were from a set of triplets or quadraplets they would still be brothers.. since you said their are both men and they have the same mother...
the only other answer would be that they were born on the same day on a different year... then again that would make them brothers.. since you said they are two men with the same mother...
unless one of them were born from another woman at the same time and got adopted by this woman...
i think the riddle should be asked using the word "babies" or "kids" instead of "men"
the actual riddle is :-

A. They are part of a set of triplets
or
Q. Two babies were born at the same hospital at the same time and they have the same parents, but they are not brothers. How?
A. They are girls (sisters)

I'm guessing the joke actually went something like: A woman brought 2 babies into the world in the same day, same hospital, etc. The woman was the doctor or midwife not the mother.

Is this a variation on the riddle where you have two identical girls standing side by side, born on the same day at the same time to the same parents, but they aren't twins? (Answer: They have a third sister, also identical. They are triplets.) That's the way I've heard it told.

i think there are two mothers married to same man. so the father can be same and mothers different but still they both will be mothers of the two men. step brothers

My guess was that it was a different year too but then the same mother (but not brothers) line got me all confused.
