Your body is being attacked by germs and viruses constantly but it is being fought off by your immune system. When you get wet you become cold and when you become cold your immune system weakens. Therefore you become sick because your body cannot fight off the germs as well.

I have the same problem and being diagnosed with a low suppressed immune system Is the cause i unfortunately am proned to illness because of it I drink room temperature drinks only and avoid cold drinks from the fridge as it causes throat problems and getting sick with a cold Also poor circulation is a possible cause as I feel the cold and need to rug up in the cooler weather Moving to a warmer climate and avoiding situations that U know that make U ill will avoid that illness I wonder if U have a European backgroud like myself???

Walking in the cold rain does not make you sick. That is an old wives tale. If you expose yourself to a virus or the flu while walking in the rain you will get sick but simply walking in the rain does no harm.

so- dress right/don t get wet or cold...then the cold or rain won t make you catch a cold. wear clothes that protect you from that wet and cold. shivering depletes your energy and body ability to keep you well

it makes a bacteria easier to spread because it tends to fly around easier. You can't get a flu from the rain...its like taking a shower.

All the time i walk in the rain i get sick. Your body temperature goes down and you could get bacteria from the rain.

the cold rain lowers your body temperature because you get soaking wet and you end up getting sick

It doesn't make you sick, otherwise people that live in the NW portion of the U.S. would be constantly ill.
