She knew that he wanted to go into the Army. Did she think he could sit behind a desk all the time?? I put 22 years in the Army. Could have gotten killed any time. Was drafted and stayed my choice. She is to me, as a veteran, like Jane Fonda, a traitor. Her American citizenship should be taken away. This is why the world loves America, we stab ourselves in the back all the time. My son is a Fireman, god bless him, he could get killed at anytime during a fire every day. I would not bad mouth the Fire dept. if something should happen to him. This is his choosen Job.

She reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law. He supported my Sister joining the Army up until she went in, then he turned his back on her. When she went to Iraq he wrote nasty letters to her superiors and told her that she abandoned her family. What do these kind of people expect the Army to be like during a war??? Everyone like them should have our soldiers backs and support them fully not half hearted!!
Like you said about your son, My husband is a firefighter. If he would die tonight I would not blame the Dept. in any kind of way. He made a choice to join the Dept. and I would honor his memory by still supporting our local Firemen. God Bless anyone who risk their life's for others!

All mother's are devastated when their child is killed in a war. We forget that when we watch the victory parades of the WW1 and WW2 vets coming home to cheering crowds there are mothers and fathers at home broken hearted because their son came home in the box. There is no celebration for them no matter how right or wrong a war may be to us.
I would not call the woman a traitor but unbalanced by grief maybe. We owe it to her fallen son to see she is taken care of no matter what her opinions might be.

If that's what it takes, then large. I haven't any concern with it. it would grow to be a concern once you have youthful mothers battling, yet i assume it must be labored out. i comprehend feminists who're interior the army, so because it fairly is nonsense. i'm against all people battling interior the army, so i'm way plenty extra probable to be against any conflict, than merchandising sending extra women human beings into conflict zones. And as I easily have a broken son who fought in Serbia/Bosnia i comprehend the value. that is not some thing i might prefer all people to flow with the aid of. as that is, on an identical time as you have an option to connect, your opinion does not count type. that could be a voluntary occupation, not some thing many human beings consider. whether if conscription replaced into extra in, i might settle for women human beings battling if it fairly is how that is. purely as I settle for that many men who have been compelled to bear provider weren't mentally able to it. damaging men. i does not wish it on my worst enemy.

I am a Viet Nam Vet, drafted like you. I agree 100%. Her son was of age when he went in so there was nothing she could do: Thank God! She has already done enough to hurt this country.

If you mean Cindy Sheehan, she went mental when her son was killed and was then built up and bankrolled by the radical left. Once she's served her purpose they'll drop her like a hot potato and she can go back to weaving baskets.

Cindy Sheehan's son made his own decision to go to Iraq. She feels he made his decision based on lies made by Bush and his administration.
The world does not "love" America. The US is very much hated in most parts of the world because of our unwarranted invasion and destruction of Iraq
Your facts are all wrong.
Cindy Sheehan lost her son who was fighting for our country. She is trying to prevent other people's sons from losing their lives because our president is a liar. She is in no way to be compared to Jane Fonda.

That women should be ashamed of herself for what she did to the memory of her son. She fell victim to the liberal anti war machine and was used. Now she is just a memory and a bad one at that. Shame on you Cindy Sheehan

Joining the army is one thing.
Getting killed for what she considers no valid reason is another.
She doesn't hate the military. She opposes the Iraq occupation.
Why is that distinction so difficult for people to understand?
