most likely heat rash, and before i rushed him out to the doc to check him out, i would use a cool wash cloth and cool down the armpit.... if its heat, they'll start to fade, they do fade slow, so don't jump the gun
but it could be a lot of other things, if he gets a sore throat or neck, take him to the hospital, if he starts to itch, take him to the doc...
benadryl will help anything from a bug bite to an allergy

My daughter's pediatrician said not to worry abt an ER visit til 104. And I take my daughter's temp under the arm. I worked in a daycare 13 years and did that and we NEVER added a degree. I have heard of that though. It doesn't make sense. I even asked her doc and she said some people do it. So I don't think you necessarily add a degree under the arm. There is some speculation on that actually. I hope he's ok. I have dealt with that. I have given my daughter water and also you should take a wet cool not cold washcloth and take his shirt off and hold it to him for a few seconds in one area then keep moving it. Another daycare thing. Hope he feels better soon.

Possible just irritation or reaction to a new detergent, soap, or even lotion if he doesnt have any change with his eating habits or running a fever I would not be concerned I would just give him an antihistamine if he complains of itching and keep the area clean and free of things with lots of fragrance

It could be heat rash but you should take him to the doctor just to be sure it isnt something else he may have picked up a fungus from outside that would require prescribed meds

They could be anything, from heat rash to chicken pox. You may want to take him to your family docotor and have him checked just to see what it is.

it could be dry skin, i had red pimple-like things all over my face once and i thought i was breaking out but it ended up being that my skin was dehydrated, so it could be that.
