I think it is very important. Lots of people think it is related to asbestos. I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it's not something you want people to see when they first walk in...bad impression right off.

Not necessary if you've painted them and they look great. We spray painted our ceilings with Kiltz. Then painted the walls a soft color. They look terrific.

I'd suggest you visit a few open houses in your neighborhood to see what others are doing.

Don't do a lot, do less. By that I mean unclutterer your space, getting rid of personal pictures and stuff, will make a better impression. Buyers want to picture there furniture, stuff, in your space. So the less you have the more they see. And the house looks bigger.

Popcorn ceiling is made out of Styrofoam. Asbestos was banned in the 70s,
