Take the whole litter, including momma cat to the vet. If the kitten is 5 days old, this isn't good at all. Chances are it is a virus and the others have it too and it will show up later. This is very serious.

Take the entire litter and the mom into the vet.
5 days old and being sick isn't a situation to be in - the kittens have basically no immune systems at that age to rely on.
DO NOT seperate that kitten from the litter. Kittens that young rely on each other and their mother for food and for warmth. Kittens are not able to maintain or regulate their body temperature on their own at that age.
DO NOT feed her warm milk. Mother's milk is what's needed - most cats are lactose intolerant and should not be given cow's milk. The vet is the one to tell you whether a milk replacement is needed.
Remember that not everything you see on the internet is true - rely on the people with experience, education and degrees in this field to give you the answers you need.

It sounds like she has an upper respiratory infection. She will need to be seen by a vet to get anibiotics. Also, just because the others seem fine, they should be seen as well. This type of infection is often passed from the mother to the kittens. The mother is probably a carrier and cannot be cured. But that does not mean she will die either. Just please take them all to the vet and get them treated.

5 days old is awfully young for a kitten to be fighting off a sickness. It is very common for kittens to get respiratory infections, which is exactly what you are describing, and at her age it can be fatal. Wiping her nose and keeping her warm and hydrated is important.. but you are going to need antibiotics pretty quick. And it is very contagious, so the other kittens may be getting it soon. She needs to be seen by a vet to get the proper medication to give her a better chance at life

Agreed, go to the vet. Antibiotics aren't expensive in a cat this small, and if it's something infectious then it can spread to the rest of the litter pretty quickly, so you'll want to have antibiotics on hand. She could also have a cleft palate and be inhaling some milk when she nurses, the vet can check her for that pretty easily too. Aspirating (breathing in) milk when nursing can cause symptoms very similar to an upper respiratory infection. Unfortunately, cleft palate kitties usually have to be put down because they can't eat enough to sustain themselves, but that's better than starving to death.

Clean her face with a dampened rag with warm milk or salt water. Do this several time a day taking care not to wet the kitten to much .If one is sick they may all get sick just watch them because you may need to take all of them to the Vet (momma included) It is very common for cats to get upper respiratory infections than are very hard to get rid of. You can buy a broad spectrum antibiotic at Southern States(or feed stores) called teramycin its for chickens, cows, etc. You mix it in their water or moist cat food (about a teaspoon full). They used it at the Humane Society where I live when all the cats had upper respiratory infections with some success but some of the kittens were so sick that they had to be euthanized.

I'm going to have to go with most of the other replies on this one. She's really young.......and it would not be a good idea for her to have an infection of some kind at this point. It would be a good idea to get her checked out. Perhaps, on the lighter side, it could be an allergy of some kind, I don't know. But to be on the safe side, let the vet take a look at her before something really bad happens to her.

Keep her good and clean, no baths with the cold though, feed it good food that isn't on the recall list, or you'll have a dead cat like I do, a little warm milk 3-4 times a day in a dish, and away from drafts, keep it warm and cuddled. Cats get colds like people.

Get some cotton balls, and dip them in heat water and ring them out, wipe the kittens section to bathe it. Giving it a tub will placed the kitten in ask your self and probally kill it.. do not use wipes reason they are to not straightforward for a kittens backside..
