Here's the deal: as you know, you are a minor. There are laws about how many hours you can work in a week. Also, at your age, you are unlikely to have prior experience in almost anything.
However, let me tell you a quick story.
Michael Dell, the billionaire with the computer company, was a kid once, as we all were. He wanted extra cash. He started delivering newspapers. All this was fine and dandy, but he found that just delivering the papers didn't make him much money. The newspaper gave them bonuses for selling subscriptions to people. He quickly figured out that selling subscriptions paid more than delivering the papers if he sold enough of them. He decided that it would be a waste of time to call people at random, so he thought about it. He figured people that just got married would be likely to be moving into houses, and probably also starting or renewing their newspaper subscriptions. So, he kept all the back issues of the papers. He started going through the wedding sections, and when people had a chance to settle in, he'd look up their name in directory assistance or the phone book, then, he'd call them and try to sell them a subscription.

Guess what? He made tons of money. One of his high school teachers gave them the task of filling out a tax return on whatever they did to make money. The teacher figured everybody did a little something, babysitting, whatever.
Michael Dell turned his in for his newspaper job. Since the pay was independent of hours worked, it didn't matter that he was a minor, and he worked at it really hard.

The teacher saw his assignment, and told him to redo it. That he must have misunderstood, and that she meant for him to use his real job, not to make one up that he wished he had.

He told her, this is my real job. She didn't believe him, so he took a paystub and his w-2 tax form. She got upset. Turns out, he made more than she did!!!

This is a true story too.

We are not all as gung-ho as Michael Dell, but think hard, and there's alot you can do besides flipping burgers.

I know other people that go to yard sales, then resell the stuff on ebay. It might take a while, but you'd get a feel for what would sell.

You are also old enough to pet sit. If you are responsible and trustworthy, you can charge about 10 or 15 bucks a day to stop by someone's house a couple times a day to feed their pet. You can probably squeeze in 2 visits per hour. 20-30 bucks an hour is more than most adults in the world make. It wouldn't be steady work, but it would be easy money. It's not a huge amount, but at your age, it's dang good.

It's hard work, but mowing lawns pays alot better than minimum wage too. You can get 25 for a small yard, and be done with it in 2 hours. 3 or 4 of these a day on saturday and sunday makes 100-150 a weekend. That's 400-600 a month. Not bad at all. If you work after school, you can make even more.

Good luck with it. I've been in your shoes. It's tough, but you can do pretty well if you are willing to work hard and are flexible.

What's your definition of a good paying job? At fifteen you'll probably never find a good paying job. You're pretty much forced into working a job that probably kind of sucks and doesn't pay much. That's what being a kid without a lot of formal education is all about, but I'm sure you'll learn a lot. If you're a girl and have a nice body and know how to flaunt it, you can probably get a little bit better job.

I imagine it's somewhat difficult getting a good paying job at fifteen, but you can try working at coffee shop like starbucks. Maybe as a cashier in home supply stores like Home Depot. I'm not sure how old you need to be a waiter, but that's also another suggestion.

At 15 this is a tough goal. McDonalds, Hardees, BKing will work 15 year olds when they have a work permit. The hours are specified when you talk to the employer. If you are a boy you may try to cut grass or something like that. Girls can babysit, or be a mothers helper. It really helps moms of little kids to have some help with housework, laundry and running errands.

As for a "good paying job," what kind of money is that? When you are 15, most employers will hire you at minimum wage. Have you been employed before? If not, chances are you are not looking at "good money". You will have to work your way to the top like most of us are doing right now. My first job only paid me $6.25/hr, and I thought that was awsome just even getting paid and making my own money!

Its hard for 15 year olds to work in the states, there are a ton of rules for employers to follow. If you have to find work go to a place that has had a sign up for a long time, they might be desperate for employees.

Try applying at nearby grocery stores. Thats probably the main place looking for younger people, to do things like bagging and such.

babysit, wash cars, clean houses...have a standard pay rate, such as $10 an hour, or $15 per room in each house and an extra $10 per bathroom....be creative.
