The Bible ok's remarriage in case of death of a spouse. But, I would pray to God if this is the person God would have you spend the remaining yrs with. Also, make sure you are equally yoked = both are christians. You may feel you are being unfaithful by remarrying, but remember, when we get to Heaven, there is no marriages. We will recognize each other, but we will all love each other. And I doubt your spouse would want you to be lonely while still on this earth.

If a spouse dies, you are free in the eyes of God to remarry. If you are divorced for any reason other than adultery, and you remarry, you are committing adultery yourself. But in the case of the death of a spouse, the Bible tells us that it is okay to remarry.

Hope this helps!

When a man and woman get married, God united them as one flesh. The only thing that can break the marriage bond, in God’s eyes, is death. If a person’s spouse dies, the widow / widower is absolutely free to remarry. The Apostle Paul allowed widows to remarry and encouraged younger widows to remarry. Remarriage after the death of a spouse is absolutely allowed by God.

It is not wrong to remarry if the first person dies, because love is a common need that I believe was installed by God Himself. I think God would want people to be happy, whether that means they stay single or remarry. It is that persons choice, free will.

Wrong. If your spouse dies, you are free to remarry. And, just in case you have heard this ridiculous bit: If you divorce and repent, the marriage never happened in the eyes of God; you are also free to remarry in that case: Adultery would be the sin, not divorce.
You are free in Christ, and if anyone tells you otherwise, somebody is lieing.

Lots of people will give you different answers because everyone interprets the Bible differently...unfortunately.

My personal opinion, according to the law (and Jesus came to fulfill the law not do away with it) it says that if a spouce dies that the man is now free to marry someone else. I wouldn't remarry just to remarry...I think the right motives would have to have some consideration as well. Hope that helps! :)

This is just my opinion, but I think it's fine if a spouse dies to remarry if you find someone you love.

When two people get married, it's until death do us apart. you are no longer married. I lost my wife after 18 years of marriage , hit by a drunk driver. I remarried 8 months later and that's been 25 ago. Of course, memories still lingers on,
but live goes on.

Of course you can remarry if you wish. The Bible speaks many times about the remarriage of a widow or widower. There is more than one person in this world for everyone that God would be pleased with.
