If your TV has audio out jacks, they should be the RCA type and color coaded Red for right ch. and White for the left. Since speaker signals are just analog audio you don't need any special wire other than so called Zip cable speaker wire or just plain old zip wire like an extension cord uses. Dollar stores, Big lots and many flee markets sell speaker wire real cheeeeeeep.
If you don't have jacks you have your work cut out for you. You will have to make up two cables with aligator clips on one end to fasten to the speaker terminals inside the TV.

Yup you need cables to hook it to the tv else the sound would have no way to get from television to speakers you will need the red and white wirers that hook into the back of the tv you can buy them at radio shack if you havent got any
