While I don't claim to know of a cure, since there really isn't one, I will say I have had a lot of good experiences with the company called Pet Medicine Chest.
The specialize in homeopathic remedies for pets, and while they can't cure your beloved cat, they can and do ease a lot of the suffering. I've used their product for years with terrific results.
The decision is of course yours to make, but if you love your cat like I do mine, you are willing to try most anything that will help, and these products do. My baby got urinary crystals which all vets tell you require surgery and will then always reccur every few months for life. I purchased the products the Pet Medicne Chest recommended to treat this problem, and much to my delight the crystals cleared up within days with no surgery needed, and he hasn't had a recurrence since I started use the remedies as a preventative measure once a month.
So again I say to you, the choice is yours to make, but if your vet doesn't give you many options, perhaps these remedies can help your cat enjoy what life remains to him/her.
I wish you all the best.

Unfortunately your vet is right. Why would you write on a board asking for treatments when you already have an answer from the vet. I'm sorry but there are no miracle cures. I had a cat with feline leukemia. You can give the cat a blood transfusion and it might live a month or two, but unfortunately it is a disease from which there is no coming back. Make the cat as comfortable as possible and do your grieving. I feel awful for you, I know how hard it is to lose a cat, I do wish I could say something better, but I think it's better to be realistic, nothing can be done. I am so sorry, I love my cats so much and one of them is 17 and I know I have limited time with her. I wish you all the best of time you have left

While feline leukemia is always incurable, there are things you can do extend his life span. The most important thing is to keep him inside, not only to prevent the spread of illness, but also to keep him from contracting other illnesses. His immune system will not be able to battle other illnesses like a normal cat, similar to an AIDs patient. Its also important to monitor him closely and get to a vet early if you notice any signs of illness (not eating, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing etc) They can treat alot of the symptoms. Ultimately, its up to you to decide whether or not his quality of life is failing, and whether euthanization should be considered. I have seen many cats live several years beyond diagnosis.

many owners decide to euthanize their cat if diagnosed with feline leukemia, just because it is always fatal, and it is a terrible virus to suffer through. I hope you can give your kitty all the care and love you can, but be prepared to let go when the kitty begins to suffer. You may see ulcers in the mouth (causing the cat not to eat), and other issues that are tormenting to a cat. Watch it close, and give it the best life you can give it until the time comes.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat's FeLv. It is a tragic disease. The symptoms can be treated, there are drugs available, but they aren't a magic bullet and are expensive and haven't been proven to be safe for use in cats (such as interferon).
Love him while you can and let him have his favourite foods and get as much out of his life as possible.
I am sure your vet has already told you that you need to ensure that your cat doesn't come into contact with other cats and kittens as he could infect them. If you have other cats who have already been in contact with him, then they may develop it too. Don't bring new cats into the home whilst you have him, if you do, you will need to keep them seperated from him.

I'm so so sorry! There is no cure for feline leukemia. :( Sad but true. I suggest pampering her until the end and make sure she feels loved and as happy as possible. Also PLEASE don't let her around any other cats. IT IS CONTAGIOUS!

Unfortunately, feline leukemia is always fatal, all you can do is try to spoil him and keep him comfortable, and have him euthanized when you can no longer do so.
