I think that in some churches there are a number of agnostics. And at different times all of us have questioned our faith, but we continue going to church while we work it out.

I went for about three years after I figured out I was an atheist. Of course, I had my parents more or less forcing me to go, so there you have it.
Many atheists are former or current churchgoers. There's a social-club element to it, too. I attended a fairly affluent church, and it was a fairly good networking hub, from what I've gathered.
I think it would be very difficult to figure out even close to an accurate percentage, since people would be so reluctant to claim church-going and atheism.
On the other hand, you could probably figure that a fair portion of infrequent churchgoers are essentially atheists. If you want to do something badly, you do it.

Hippocrates are not actually Atheists. But there are some Atheists that attend church so as not to offend theis loved ones. There is nothing wrong with that. It is hard to estimate how many.

Hey,thats an easy one.
The one's that don't walk in the light and hold Jesus as Lord are the atheists!
Jesus gave parables on this. The Holy Spirit wrote about it in the old testament.
You can recognize them, the true christian's,the ones in the light who hold Jesus as Lord,-because-they act Just like Jesus.
In the new testament,it says "by their fruits you shall know them".Meaning, how they act,how they care, because they do as the Lord did.Maranatha.

A lot of people lie to remain in the club . It's a social thing for them that out weighs the act of lying .

I would speculate about 20% of church-goers do not really believe in God, but like to say they do. 1% of church-goers actually call themselves atheists.

Why would someone go to church, unless it was a child, and not believe it. I think anyone who thinks that is being silly.

Well, there's the pope, at least. I mean, he's supposed to have a direct line to god, right? He may have been disapointed when he got the job and realized it wasn't true. And there on down from there.
