Many faith communities are focused primarily on families.

What does your faith community do to welcome and incorporate single individuals into the life of the community?

My son still has a couple of single buddies who like to come over and hang out with us quite a bit. My faith community is a bit different, it's a collection of family, friends and neighbors. We don't all have the same views, but we focus on the similar and respect the differences. I'm not sure this is how Church is suppose to be, but until I find what I'm looking for this is as close as I can get. :)

While the Mormon Church has the reputation as being a family centered church, which it is, there are many singles groups incorporated into the structure of the Church. There are several: A "Young Single Adult" group for singles 18-30ish,, a "Single Adult" group for singles over 30, and a Young Mens and Young Womens programs as well.

my faith community has created this establishment called a "bar" that both singles and non-singles alike attend for a good time.. and at this place many things happen.. relationships change, form, and end entirely sometimes.. really a beautiful thing.. a wonderful circle of social and community life

My faith actually provides the opportunity for singles to attend sunday meetings with other singles as opposed to families, if they choose to do so. Of course, they are always welcomed to join with the families, and they quite often do, but Sunday meetings and often weeday activities are organized to allow singles to get together with peers.

Many Churches that I know including mines have a Singles Ministry. This is design to help them appreciate their singleness, prepare them for dating and marriage. Education and courses; preparation for the work place, fun pack programs and many more. It is huge.

We have an entire ministry for singles and it is great! I think every church needs something like this! Everyone needs to be accommodated, from youth to adults, single to married.

Our church has many familys, and many younger single adults. We make no accomodations, if you will. They are a part of the church. They participate too. If you think we should have a date night, that is weird and wrong. God will send the people a potential partner without the church becomming a social club.

Nothing and i'm kinda glad because then it would be hard to diss a christain woman when i didn't like her. I want to be nice to my fellow church folks. But then again it would be nice if there were some hotties in there mid 20's
