If you have broadband, you would have to disconnect the modem for about a week or two for their DHCP servers to give you another one. Even then, they might have given you a permanant IP address.

You'll want to set your network adapters to a static ip address. Click Start | help and support and do a search for "static ip". Click "Configure TCP/IP for static addressing" on left for help. Thats your best shot if your not faimliar with networking.

go to control panel
network connection
right click on local area connection
click properties
highlight internet protocol
then properties again..
a window will open for you to change your ip address
